Partners
There are a number of partners involved in Enquiring Minds:
Futurelab
The project is run and directed by Futurelab. Futurelab is passionate about transforming the way people learn. Tapping into the huge potential offered by digital and other technologies, we develop innovative resources and practices that support new approaches to learning for the 21st century. A not-for-profit organisation, we work in partnership with others to:
- incubate new ideas, taking them from the lab to the classroom
- share hard evidence and practical advice to support the design and use of innovative learning tools
- communicate the latest thinking and practice in educational ICT
- provide the space for experimentation and the exchange of ideas between the creative, technology and education sectors.
Microsoft
Microsoft has funded the project through its global Partners in Learning initiative. Through this initiative, Microsoft is helping to empower students and teachers to realise their full potential. By broadening access to a spectrum of education and ICT resources - tools, programs, and practices - this initiative is looking to skill and inspire students and teachers to use technology in creative and innovative ways.
To realise these aims in the UK, Microsoft is partnering with the Teacher Development Agency (TDA), the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), the National Assembly of Wales (NAW) and key stakeholders from the education community such as Futurelab.
